I'd never seen a tribal dude in a space suit. So I drew a tribal dude in a space suit

Just playing with a slightly different style/feeling than I have before. I love work like this and would like to be better with the style =)
Donuts
Uh oh, I think this is art for art's sake...
There is actually some significance to this picture for me. It is a combination of a couple of things that I hold high. I admire quiet, under-celebrated achievers. This picture is based off a photo I found years ago of an old guy weaving a basket and he just seemed so fine about doing it - just getting on with it. And he's probably really really good at it.
The other part of the picture (the donut) is influenced by a favourite musician of mine, J Dilla. There is a whole lot to be said about this guy - so I won't. But he was also a very hard worker, extremely good at what he did, everyone knew it and yet he was completely humble and quiet about it. He made a very fucking noteworthy (to say the least) album called 'Donuts'. And along with his other music too, it gives me feels.

Poop Walk
another bit of a little Flash project I'm playing with. Onto something else for a bit though, then back to it =)
Poop Run
You could say this run cycle is... shitty. =D Poopy Knight FTW! This is just one piece of a little project I'm wanting to put together of this guy sometime. I made this using a combo of Flash/Photoshop video layers. =)

Having a crack at branching out and learning flash. This is the baby-step project for me to help me out for a more complex one. The animation side of things is kind of a happy place for me - but I am new to the coding side - so this thing ain't perfect but I tried! =)
This is inspired by this freakin cool interactive display from Soap Creative in Sydney.
Poopy Knight

Learning and talking and painting!
So I attended a Masterclass with Valve/Weta artist Laura Dubuk - already a favourite artist of mine...lucky me, it was awesome. It was mostly about one of my favourite topics- Level Design! =)
We did a bit of practical practicing - I haven't done any photo-mash + paint pictures in a long time but for quickness' sake, that was my approach for this one.

So the walls in our house a a little bare of art at the moment and my wife and I both have pretty particular tastes when it come to this. So I thought I'd try make something for ourselves... if I can bare to look at my own art even more!
